My global Issue.

My global issue is poverty. some of the diseases you can die from is Pneumonia it is a contagious infection it is transmitted when an infected person coughs or sneezes small droplets that contain the germ. Another disease is Malaria it is spread by mosquitoes One bite from an infected mosquitoe can mean weeks of fever and exhaustion. More than 20,000 people die each year from poverty. 1 in 8 people in the world live in poverty. i think it is really bad and sad to see things like that.

My Thoughts About Village By The Sea.

Well VIllage By The Sea is a very intersting book i liked most of it. It was very sad when Pinto the dog died because the father did not pay off the toddy. I liked Lila because she was so brave and strong because she doesn’t go to school and looks after the whole family. I felt sorry for the two little girls because all of that happening to them when they are so young. hari was alright i didn’t like him because he just ran away from the family. The father was bad at the start i didn’t like him untill the end when he stopped drinking toddy. The book was very interesting at some bits there was no wow factor about it some bits were really good. Surprisingly it was very good for a school novel . 8D

Village By The Sea – Chapter 12

Chapter 12 was an ok chapter. Hari had come home after 9 months which i think is really good of him. Hari was walking on the bus and his only friend in Bombay the owner of the watch shop gave him 10 rupees as a gift. When he got home he gave Lila and his 2 other sisters all presants the 2 little girls got bangles silver ones so they wont brake. and Lila got a new sari. overall it was a great chapter.O.o

Village By The Sea – Chapter 11

Chapter 11 was ook not as good as the others but anyway. Hari found out where Mr Panwallah lives so he went there to visit him and tell him about what happened it Alibagh. He said he needs to go back to Thul and visit his family and Jagu is making Hari stay until coconutday and until Diwali is over. So coconut day has passed and he is waiting for Diwali. He fixed his first watch and got payed for it, he got 10 rupees he was so surprised and couldnt beleive it. overall it was an ok chapter. :p

Village By The Sea – Chapter 10

Chapter 10 was a good chapter i’ve never herd of a monsoon. While Hari was still in Bombay the old man from the watch shop next door invited him to see the monsoon begin. It is like where it rais and rains for months. Hari was getting sick so Jagu offered him to come stay at his house. When they got there him and his wife started fighting and yelling at each other. After that when Hari was working there was a man at the shop listening to a portable radio, it said that there was boats that might have been lost at sea and the men might of died. When Lila was walking home she saw men go out to sea and Biju was yelling to them to come back and warning them that they would die. After 4 days they sent a search party out there and they found the boats and 3 fishermen had drowned and the rest survived. overall i think it was a interesting chapter. :S

Village By The Sea – Chapter 9

Chapter 9 was a bit less interesting than the others. Hari was working in the Eating House and he also was sleeping in it. It was way to hot for Hari to sleep in there, he would go and sit outside every night and the man from the ding dong watch- house said to go sleep in the park. When Hari went there the police man said this it not a place to sleep and to sleep in the police station. When the police man was telling Hari off an old man walked by and was saying not to pick on him and to go pick on the real criminals in this town. I think that was very good of the man to do that. Lila was helping The de Silvas pack there luggage back up into their car because they were going back home to Bombay. So they have to look after a man who lives in the Monsoon. They get payed so they can provide for the family. overall i think this was a great chapter. O.o

Village By The Sea – Chapter 8

Chapter 8 was a good chapter. Hari got a job at Sri Krishna Eating House where he works in the kitchen and gets food and 1 rupee a day. He sent a postcard home to his family telling them he got a job and he will send home is savings to help them. Lila went to The de Silvas to ask them to bring her mother to the hospital because she is very ill. They went to the hospital and left their mother there to get better. Lilas father found out that she brought her mother to the hospital and he got very angry at her for bringing her there without telling him. The next day she went to the hospital to find out what was wrong with her she is very sick but she is going to get better. overall i liked it very much. XD

Village By The Sea – Chapter 7

Chapter 7 was an alright chapter. Hari was walking around when he saw a coconut stand. He was very hungy and thirsty. When i was reading it i felt sorry for him. The man gave Hari a coconut and there was a strange man sitting on the ground, he was saying that the coconut man was a murderer. After that Hari went walking on the beach when he came across a fair of somesort. He found a peice of paper in his pocket wich had the address of The de Silvas on it. Hari asked for directions and went off to find it. In chapter 6 it said that The de Silvas had gone back to Thul but Hari didnt know that. Overall it was a very good chapter. O.o

Chapter 6 was a really good chapter it was my favourite. Hari was really brave just to leave without telling anyone i would have never done that. I felt very sorry for him when he was on the boat by himself with no food or drink. It was very strange when the old man was talking to him and knew more things about hari than what he knew himself. Lila has gone to Alibagh to get medicine for her very sick mother because hari is not there to get it for them instead. Overall i loved this chapter more than the rest. >.<

Village By The Sea – Chapter 5

Chapter 5 was a very short chapter it only went for 5 pages and i thought that was to short. It was about how hari had left already and how Biju was trying to launch his boat but it was to high up the beach for the tide to reach it. They were able to get it a bit more down the beach so it could get launched. Overall i think it is way to short to be a chapter. o.O :)
